Year 1/2
Autumn Term
Our 3 classes are Class Y1/2SJ taught by Mrs Savage and Mrs Jessop, Class Y1/2LF taught by Miss Lang and Mrs Fox, and Class Y1/2A taught by Miss Aspinwall. These classes will be supported by Miss Galloway, Mrs Clarke, Mrs Bainbridge and Miss Dobson.
We have lots of learning to look forward to this Autumn term. In Maths, Year 1 and Year 2 will focus on the units and foundations of Place Value and Addition and Subtraction.
In the Autumn term our overall topic is Animals. In English during Autumn 1 we will read storybooks about bears with a bravery theme. In Autumn 2 we will look at stories with a twist in their tale. This links to our Science learning on Animals including humans. We are hoping to have an exciting visitor come to our school from a local vet. Also, in the Autumn term we have our Harvest Festival and Nativity Concert to showcase.
