St Martin and St Mary Church of England Primary School

Welcome to St Mary’s Leapfrog

(Documents and information can be found at the bottom)

St Mary’s Leapfrog was formed in 2003 to offer wrap around afternoon care for the children attending morning nursery but has since blossomed into providing morning, lunch, afternoon and after school sessions for children aged 2 years and upwards.  St. Mary’s Leapfrog is a registered charity and not for profit Ltd Company by guarantee who rent a large, bright, open plan room in St. Martin and St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School. We are open term time only.

We offer preschool sessions for two year olds and are registered with the local authority to accept two year old funding. Two year old year funding entitles children who are deemed in need and needing extra support to access Leapfrog without their family incurring any costs.  Leapfrog keeps its fees to a minimum to make it accessible to all members of our community.

Leapfrog also offers wrap around care for the nursery children during the lunch time period and recently opened an after school club to care for the nursery children and up to the age of eight.

Leapfrog was graded as, “Good” in their latest Ofsted inspection, carried out in May 2013 with the inspectors stating, “children enjoy a good range of interesting and stimulating activities that help them to make good progress in all areas of their learning. These skills are preparing the children well for when it is time for them to move on to school. “

Leapfrog currently employs 8 members of staff, 7 of whom hold relevant childcare qualifications, first aid certificates and have undergone safeguarding training. All staff have current enhanced DBS clearance and our high staff to children ratio’s ensure every child receives 1:1 attention to facilitate their learning.

Children can enjoy a host of wonderful activities at Leapfrog including a mud kitchen, sand, water, paint and glitter all whilst learning to socialize with children of the same age, become competent learners and take those first important steps away from home in readiness for starting nursery and school.

If you would like to come and see what we do, meet the staff and children or register your child please call 015394 43622, email, post your downloaded and completed registration form or simply pop in.
